Emerge Consulting love sports challenges and cycling events. Gerben Bekooy is actively involved in charity and fundraising events. Gerben loves to push his limits and raise funds for research for child  cancer.

   

In June 2019 Gerben rode Giro di KiKa for the third time, with a group of friends. Giro di KiKa is a 6 stage cycling event of  through Toscany and Umbria in Italy, in which 1000 km and 16.000 altitude meters have to be contested. As a team we strived to raise € 100.000,- for research to child cancer. The goal is to get the chance of surviving child cancer to up and above 95%.

The result of our fundraising activities was that we raised a record amount of € 127.000 with our team. This is tremendous and we are immensely proud!!! Maxima Medical Center will be able to start up new research projects with this money.
